If you didn’t already know, CatPrint cares about the environment, and we do our best to reduce the waste we use everyday. One of the major things that we use in our daily lives is the paper towel! In this TED Talk, Joe Smith talks about a neat trick that we can all do to reduce the amount of paper towels that we use after we wash our hands. Ultimately, that saves everyone money!


Joe Smith is an activist who lives in Oregon. He formerly served as the chair for the Oregon Democratic Party and District Attorney for Umatilla County. He is a definitely a proponent for the reduced use of paper towels!

Who is Scott McCloud?

Scott McCloud is actually a comic artist himself! He wrote the book titled Understanding Comics, which is a comic book about comics and has been translated in over 13 languages. He coined the term “infinite canvas”, which is one of the main terms that he describes comics. He is definitely a favorite of many celebrity comic artists. If you are going to the San Diego Comic Con International this year, Scott McCloud will be there!

Most of us have probably heard of things called 30 day challenges, where the challenge is to do something everyday for 30 days. It might be to take a photo of yourself or wake up one minute earlier everyday.

In this talk, Matt Cutts talks about how 30 days is just enough time to add or remove a habit from your life. He suggests that you should try something that you’ve always wanted to do and add it to your routine and see how it feels. His reasoning is that 30 days will pass by anyway, so why not do something useful with it?

Matt Cutts might sound like a familiar name to you. He is an engineer at Google who specializes in Search Engine Optimization, better known as SEO. He helps webmasters fix their websites so that they are search engine friendly and is very much against link spam.
